08 Days Exploring The Sahara

 


Day 01- Ouarzazate
Arrival in Casablanca or Marrakesh. Connecting flight to Ouarzazate .upon your arrival at Ouarzazate airport and after formalities, you will find your host waiting for you to greet you and then start your adventure. After a relexation time in your hotel visit The Kasbah Ait Benhaddou has starred in such films as "the jewel of the Nile", "gladiator", "Asterix", and “Kingdom of heaven”. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 02- Ouarzazate - Skoura - Boutaghrar
Visit the large lake of Ouarzazate. Drive across the palm grove of Skoura to get to the AmagounMountains. The Berber villages and the splendid landscapes make the greatest mystery of this day. Diner & Accommodation at Your riad.

Day 03-Boutaghrar - Bouma-n-Dades - Nekoub - Zagoura
Visit the Kasbah of Glaoui on your way to Boulmane Dades. Visit the village of Ikniouan. Then take the track which goes through Jbel Saghrou and leads to Nekoub. Lunch "break" there. Finally drive along Draa Valley to get to Zagoura. Diner & Accommodation at Your hotel in Zagoura.
 
Day 04-Zagoura - Maider - Merzouga
This journey is rich in immensely extended landscapes and dark stones. It passes by several Berber villages, nomads under tents, oaises and water streams. It crosses some desert plateaus to Arrive to the splendid Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga. Diner & Accommodation at your Bivouac.

Day 05-Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - Erfoud
Early morning, a camel excursion to see the sunrise over the top of the sand-dunes. There the view covers the Hamadas. Back to your Bivouac for Breakfast. After your meal Visit the blacks' village, the minerals, fossil quarries and prehistoric vestiges. Optionel Quad excursion .Drive to Erfoud Diner & Accommodation at your hotel.

Day 06- Erfoud- Todra Gorges
After your Breakfas Visit the town of Rissani, the oldest imperial town which used to be a great caravan centre.then Drive trought the desert & Berber villages to Toudra gorges. Diner & Accommodation at your hotel.

Day 07- Todra Gorges  - Ouarzazate
The Kasbahs, the rose valley, Skoura palm grove make the greatest mystery of this journey. No wonder, it is referred to as the road of the 1000 Kasbahs. Then you get to Ouarzazate for Diner & Accommodation.

Day 08- Ourzazate-Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight home.
